Creative Movement (45 minutes)

A very special dance class taught in a fun and friendly environment. This class focuses on combining basic ballet movements and positions with coordination, gross motor and musicality development.

This class combines the basic ballet and tap steps that form the foundations for all types of dance. The focus is on grace, posture and the understanding of tempo and rhythm.

Pre Jazz (45 minutes)

This class introduces basic jazz technique with funky upbeat combinations and choreography.

Hip Hop

The latest trend in dance! Hip Hop combines an urban street feel with music video style combinations and choreography.

Boys Hip Hop

An upbeat and exciting class for boys who want to learn the latest urban street style moves and cool tricks!

Classical Ballet

Classical ballet techniques vary from the Russian Vagonova style to the Italian Cecchetti style. Students are taught classical movements with great emphasis on correct posture, body alignment, flexibility and grace. Teen classes also incorporate pointe work.

Tap

Between the ages of 6 and 12 our tap classes follow a traditional Broadway style. Teen classes are a combination of traditional tap and street tap which incorporates and an urban funk inspired style. Both styles are high energy and focus on musicality and rhythm.

All Tap classes follow the A.D.A.P.T (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers) system. This standardized dance syllabus is used throughout Canada by hundreds of certified dance teachers.

Jazz

Jazz is a style of dance that is based in classical technique. The music is upbeat and high energy and the movements include kicks, turns and jumps. Jazz styles can vary to include influences from Broadway, ballet, modern and funk.

All Jazz classes follow the A.D.A.P.T (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers) syllabus. This standardized dance syllabus is used throughout Canada by hundreds of certified dance teachers.

Contemporary (1 hour)

Contemporary dance is based in ballet, modern and jazz and uses emotional execution to interpret the lyrics of the music. Dancers in contemporary classes must come from a strong ballet or jazz background.
