A.D.A.P.T (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers)
Tap and Jazz Exams

All Tap and Jazz classes follow the A.D.A.P.T (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers) system. This standardized dance syllabus is used throughout Canada by hundreds of certified dance teachers. Our intensive dance programs (Competitive Team and Teacher Training Students) also take their A.D.A.P.T Tap and Jazz exams every year. SPSOD is very proud to have had a 100% success rate in ADAPT exams since we began following the syllabus in 2007. Every year we have many students who make it on to the Honor Roll (results of 85% and higher) as well as students who receive the highest award possible-Highly Commended Plus. This last award entitles the recipient to a personalized engraved medal from ADAPT.

ADAPT examinations are a memorable experience and present an opportunity for students to be critiqued and evaluated by professional dance master examiners on a regular basis.

ADAPT examinations encourage each and every student to work harder, in order to develop their own, best personal potential and to help them to maintain that potential throughout their dance training years.

ADAPT examinations are certified and successful candidates receive certificates. High achievers also receive a special "Medal Of Merit Award".

ADAPT examinations help a student to develop better technical discipline, and encourages proper and professional grooming.

ADAPT examinations allow students to enjoy a better sense of dance and helps to develop a positive attitude, supports good competitive values along with enhancing stronger performance abilities.

ADAPT examinations will teach students to think quickly in order to make the professional audition process easier and more successful.
